fforest is just that: warmth in the staff, the welcome, sunsets, food, woodburners & firepits. Craft in the design of the buildings, accommodation, landscapes, materials & textiles. Comfort all around, designed for relaxation & gathering, the furnishings and the lighting, the glow of an open fire, the places & spaces that make up fforest.
Our venues have evolved as a celebration of the outdoors and an appreciation of the comfort offered by our indoor spaces. We are happy to talk to you about any creative wedding plans you may have but this is what we know we do well:
Festival weddings - Late spring through to early autumn.
This is where it all started for us. Our giant hat tipi is permanently sited throughout the year, ready for a ceremony, live music or just chilling out. Our event spaces - the cedar barn, the lodge barn, the giant hat tipi, the garden pavilion, the Bwthyn pub, the firepit - and accommodation are spread out across the heart of our 200 acre site giving a relaxed summery vibe to weddings held in the warmer months.
Food & Drink
We take a lot of pride in our food & drink. Our location means that the quality of food available to us is outstanding With great ingredients we prefer to keep it uncomplicated, local, delicious. We grow our own vegetable, brew our own beer. As with everything else we love doing what we do outdoors. Over a fire. Our specialities are wood smoked and barbequed meats /fish, and pizzas ‘ bread from our stonebaked oven. We will work with you to blend three key ingedients: people, produce and place and make them sing and shine.
Hygge weddings - late autumn, early spring.
Hygge (pronounced hue–ga) is the Danish art of living well. It's about the warm satisfaction to be found by enjoying nature, beauty & simple pleasures with family & friends. We think fforest at this time of year is the perfect place to find your own hygge.
The cedar barn accommodates up to 160 guests seated. Styled with candles, the natural interior emanates a warming glow, giving a feeling of intimacy regardless of the size of your party. For smaller parties, the space moves seamlessly from celebration to bar to dining room to dance floor.and is only a few paces from the luxury accommodation of the farmyard.
In the fresher, more peaceful seasons of winter & spring we think fforest at this time of year is the perfect place to find your own hygge, a good way to start a life together.

Music, films, performance.- we have an extensive list of fforest folk that we recommend. Welsh male voice choir to full on cheesy disco.
Accommodation
Restored 18th c. farmhouse, Crog lofts, Garden shacs, Geodesic domes, Onsen domes and Hill shacs. All designed and built with warmth, craft and comfort. On site accommodation at fforest for 90-100 guests, we can provide further accommodation at our riverside hotel and neighbouring Granary loft apartments in Cardigan, 10mins away. Or if you are planning a big festival style wedding and you want everyone on site we can build you a bespoke tented village for as many as you need.
